About the Host
Hello! I’m Beckie Simkins, a part of the Awaken Conference team and host of the Homeschooling Through High School Podcast. My husband, Len, and I have three amazing, unique, fun teenagers whom we homeschool in beautiful Northern Michigan…
I enjoy gardening and preserving as well as being a volunteer librarian at our local living books library, and helping moms navigate homeschooling. But to the heart of things: I know Jesus. I don’t meet with Him as often as I should, and I rely way too much on my own understanding, but I am learning to love like Him and to be loved by Him, to forgive and ask for forgiveness, to create and find joy - holding onto it and sharing it with others. I have a passion to minister to fellow mamas, letting them know they are seen and heard and loved. My prayer is that all who come to Awaken, listen to the podcast, or whom I meet in person will depart with their soul blessed and full. Blessings!
